<div style="line-height:1.5"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1765953183615IMG_9555.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Handout photo/PYBC.MANILA — Spartans San Beda Alabang Under-15 and Jet’s Barbershop Under-13 emerged victorious to rule their respective divisions in the 2025 Philippine Youth Basketball Championship (PYBC) on Saturday at Villar Coliseum in Las Piñas.</div>San Beda survived a stiff challenge from Migrafix Doc Boleros in Game 2, 66-62, to complete a sweep of the U15 Finals, with Finals MVP and PalawanPay Player of the Game Akhiro Reynon leading the charge.“I knew that we could do it from the start,” said San Beda head coach Teddy Polinga, who watched Reynon post 11 points, 16 rebounds, five blocks, and two assists in the clincher, on top of averaging 17.5 points, 19.5 rebounds, 5.0 blocks, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals throughout the Finals.“We just needed to build our chemistry, but I believed we could win it. I’m just glad it happened,” he added of San Beda’s successful run in the Benjie Paras-led PYBC which is supported by PalawanPay, Cherifer, Chronos, and Chooks-to-Go.After seeing their 15-point lead trimmed to just two, 64-62, following a late 13-0 surge by Doc Boleros in the final period, the tide turned back in San Beda’s favor when Michael Tan Estrevillo committed a costly turnover on the break with five seconds left.Yul Nicolas then split his free throws to make it 65-62, before Reynon secured an offensive rebound and also split his charities to push the lead to four, 66-62, effectively sealing the win.Aside from Reynon, Bangelo Abo-Abo also delivered for San Beda with 17 points, five rebounds, and four steals, while Mcryan Macasarte posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.<div style="line-height:1.5">On the other side, Royette Villareal paced runner-up Migrafix Doc Boleros with 20 points to close their campaign in the PYBC which is also backed by Aces Solar, Goodday Friz, Oak Group of Companies, Smile 360 Dental Clinic, Team Access – Official Nike Partner, and Daily Essencials. <img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1765953357359IMG_9554.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Handout photo/PYBC.In the U13 Finals, Jet’s Barbershop outlasted MLO Basketball in a Game 3 overtime thriller, 99-94, to get the job done against the erstwhile unbeaten squad coached by Mark Lopez.</div>Finals MVP and PalawanPay Player of the Game Patrick Tumbaga led Jet’s Barbershop with 10 points, three rebounds, two blocks, two steals, and an assist in the decider, which was only MLO’s second loss of the season.“Talagang communication lang po yung nagdala sa amin,” said Tumbaga, who averaged 15.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 steals, 2.0 assists, and 0.6 blocks across the series for the Dick Gawat–led squad.With Jet’s Barbershop seeing its 10-point lead cut to two, 93-91, after an 8-0 run by MLO, Julian Baliwag showed nerves of steel by sinking both free throws to stretch the lead to 95-91 with 16 seconds left in overtime.MLO still had time to mount a response, with Zach Agustin drilling a three-pointer to counter Leiam Osorio’s free throws and pull within three, 94-97. That was as close as they could get, however, as Baliwag iced the game by calmly knocking down two more free throws to complete Jet’s Barbershop’s championship run.Osorio led Jet’s Barbershop in scoring with 19 points, 23 rebounds, five steals, and three assists, while Baliwag and Lachenal added 14 points apiece. Yubert Enciso chipped in 13 points, and Castro contributed 10 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.For MLO, Agustin poured in a game-high 23 points, Demante added 21 points with eight assists and three rebounds, Driz delivered 19 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks, Ethan Suangco had 14 points and six rebounds, while Xander Dulfo tallied 12 points, 19 rebounds, four steals, four blocks, and three assists.
