Fajardo, the PBA's record-holder of most number of MVP plums with eight, accepted another award as he was named Mr. Basketball for professional hoops in the 2024 Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Awards Night on Monday at The Manila Hotel.

The 6-foot-10 behemoth said it's an honor to be named Mr. Basketball by the PSA again.

In a social media post on Tuesday, Fajardo extended his gratitude to the sportswriting body for the said citation.

However, San Miguel's own bid in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup is now out of their hands as Fajardo and company wait for the results of NLEX and Magnolia's games.

Sitting at 10th place with a 5-7 win-loss card, they are trailing the Road Warriors and Hotshots, who currently has 5-6 slates each.
