Carl Tamayo earns Round 3 MVP nod in KBL

Carl Tamayo was recognized as Round 3 Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his stellar play in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).

This was announced Wednesday by his KBL team, the Changwon LG Sakers, in an Instagram post, and by the league.

The LG Sakers star grabbed the opportunity to shine in the ongoing 2024-25 season, dropping back-to-back 30-point games, which included a 37-piece against Seoul Samsung Thunders, his career-high.

The Gilas Pilipinas forward also had a 31-point outing against the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters for a 86-82 triumph, and them he helped his team annihilate fellow University of the Philippines (UP) pride JD Cagulangan's Suwon KT Sonicboom, 78-70.

For his heroics, the Changwon LG Sakers sees themselves at a comfortable spot in the standings with a 16-13 win-loss card.
