However, it will not be in the PBA with the TNT Tropang GIGA wherein he won two titles and two Finals MVPs with, but with Strong Group Athletics in the squad’s upcoming campaign in the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship.

“The 33-year-old combo guard, who hails from Los Angeles, California, touched down in the Philippines on Tuesday,” announced SGA.

This move reunites Williams with Strong Group head coach Charles Tiu whom the Filipino-American guard played for during the 2019 William Jones Cup and the 2020 edition of the Dubai games with Mighty Sports.

“I’m excited to be working with him again,” said Tiu, whose Mighty Sports team ruled the two aforementioned tournaments with Wiliams. “I was quite close to him before. We won two championships together, and hopefully, we can win another one.”

Williams will bolster an already stacked roster that includes Rhenz Abando, Dave Ildefonso, Jason Brickman, Angelo Kouame, Andray Blatche, Allen Liwag, Tony Ynot, and Justine Sanchez.

Also included in the mix are international stars Demarcus Cousins, Malachi Richardson, and Terry Larrier, and the three Americans are looking to help SGA redeem themselves after a buzzer-beating loss against Al-Riyadi in the Finals.
