MANILA, Philippines – Magnolia import Ricardo Ratliffe showed the way in the Hotshots' first win in the 2024-25 PBA Commissioner's Cup. 

The 35-year-old Ratliffe led the Hotshots to a 118-100 blasting of the Blackwater Bossing, Thursday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The reinforcement tallied 30 points, 18 rebounds and five assists in his first game back in the PBA.

They also bucked the exit of Calvin Abueva, who had to be stretchered out of the court due to a neck injury after an accidental elbow from Sedrick Barefield in the second canto.

Maverick Ahanmisi did his part, topping the local scoring with 21, while Mark Barroca added 15 markers, and Zav Lucero chipped in 13.

As expected, George King of Blackwater had another massive scoring night, firing 42 points to pace the Bossing side.
