MANILA -- The Eastern Sports Club made a rousing debut in the PBA on Wednesday, pulling away for a 102-87 rout of Phoenix at the PhilSports Arena.

Eastern is playing as a guest team in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup.

Leading the way for the squad was Hayden Blankley, who is familiar to Filipino fans as a part of the Bay Area Dragons team that finished as runners-up to Barangay Ginebra in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

In his return to the PBA, Blankley put up 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting on top of eight boards and five assists, earning Player of the Game honors.
