PBA Images"/>PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial. PBA Images</div>MANILA — The PBA Season 49 Governors&#x27; Cup will be a historic one for Asia&#x27;s first play-for-pay league.It is set to implement the four-point line in the season-opening conference, an innovation that is a part of the PBA&#x27;s vision to become the &#x27;No.1 basketball entertainment league in Asia.&quot;League Commissioner Willie Marcial shared that teams have been starting to integrate it as they prepare for the upcoming Governors&#x27; Cup, but also maintained that it is still in the experimental stage. &quot;Sabi ng mga teams, nag latag na sila ng mga line para sa four-point play. Tignan natin itong bagong innovation. Ang PBA, dynamic yan eh,&quot; he said on Monday during the Season 49 Media Day in Pasay.&quot;For this season &#x27;yon. Kung hindi, tignan natin kung anong magagawa natin, pero subukan natin,&quot; he expressed.He shared that despite the various comments about the four-point line, all team governors approved it during their overseas planning last month.&quot;Sa meeting namin sa Japan, well-represented, nandun lahat ng mga Governors, at walang kumontra at unanimous kaya tingin namin magandang innovation,&quot; he revealed.&quot;Sa mga coaches, merong may ayaw, merong may gusto, pero okay lang yun kasi hindi pa nila nasusubukan eh. Subukan muna natin, tapos tignan natin kung maganda o hindi,&quot; added Marcial.And amidst these, he is optimistic that it will eventually be a great development for the PBA.&quot;Makikita natin yan.
