Bounce back stronger, Alas Pilipinas!

Alas Pilipinas Men are off to a rough start in Leg 2 of the 2024 SEA V.League after falling to Indonesia in straight sets, 24-26, 11-25, 15-25, on Friday at UNY Sport Complex in Yogyakarta.

Alas, who had a a bronze medal finish in Leg 1, showed poise in the first canto as they fought back in the extended set, but ultimately fell after an Angga Anggara hit and Buds Buddin's attempt went wide.

The Indonesians, with the momentum on their side, continued what they were doing in the next two sets, dominating the Filipinos en route to a 1-0 win-loss slate.

The Philippines can notch its breakthrough win against defending champion Thailand on Saturday.
