MANILA – Japanese volleyball sensation Ran Takahashi is back in the Philippines.

Takahashi, who was tapped as a brand ambassador for an electronics and lighting company, will be engaging with his Filipino fans on Friday in a meet and greet event at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. 

He arrived in the country on Thursday night, according to Akari Lighting.

"Our newest Akari Ambassador Ran Takahashi lands in Manila for his Meet & Greet event. He's extremely excited to see you all, Akari Fam! Kitakits bukas!" the company's Facebook post said.

Slots are limited, the company advised previously, and are given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Takahashi was also welcomed by his fellow Paris 2024 Olympian, Maxine Esteban.
