Fil-American Valorant player Zachary 'zekken' Patrone flaunted his Filipino roots at the Valorant world stage after using Neon at the Valorant Champions 2024, held in Seoul, South Korea.

Zekken led Sentinels to a decisive 2-0 victory against last-surviving Pacific team DRX, ending up with a whopping 54 kills overall using the Filipino character.

"I was just really feeling Filipino today, so I played the Filipino character," Zekken said during a post-match interview streamed live by Valo2Asia.

Zekken tallied an average combat score of 319, according to vlr.gg data, leading all players.

Sentinels bucked off a shaky start in the group stages, bouncing back from an opening day loss to Shanghai Masters champions Gen.G by qualifying through an elimination bracket run to qualify for the playoffs.

Sentinels will face China's EDward Gaming on Saturday, as they continue their campaign.
