MANILA — Kapamilya star Gerald Anderson is set to embark on a nationwide tour this October as part of Got Game Philippines, a new initiative aimed at discovering basketball talent for 3x3 competitions.

Anderson, known for his roles in television and film, is also a passionate basketball player, and this project merges his love for the sport with his desire to give back to the community.

Anderson’s tour will cover key cities including Manila, Cebu, and Davao, where he will scout for skilled players across different levels — open league, collegiate, and even grassroots talents.

"I love basketball. I love the sport. Ang dami kong natutunan nung bata ako. I focused on sports, na-apply ko din 'yan sa pag-aartista ko — professionalism, teamwork, work ethic, lahat yan," Anderson shared.

“In a way, sabi ko nga nung bata, pangarap ko pumasok sa PBA pero pumasok ako sa PBB [Pinoy Big Brother],” he said as he reflected on his dreams.

Anderson's passion for basketball is rooted in his youth, and he sees this tour as an opportunity to pay it forward.

"Lahat pupuntahan natin. We will go to the grassroots areas, we will check players," he said. "I’ve been in the basketball world for so long. Alam ko na marami talaga ang magagaling. Galing akong Mindanao, sa [General Santos], ang daming ballers sa Gen San, sa Cebu, sa Mindoro na hindi nabibigyan ng opportunity, so 'yun yung goal."
