(UPDATED) Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo is on track to qualify to the all-around final, as well as the final of two apparatus in the men's artistic gymnastics competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After Subdivision 2 of the qualifiers at the Bercy Arena on Saturday night, Yulo is currently ranked sixth in the vault and second in the floor exercise, as well as eighth overall.

Yulo, a former world champion in the floor exercise, scored 14.766 in the apparatus which put him behind Jake Jarman of Great Britain (14.966). Jarman had competed in Subdivision 1 earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Yulo is sixth in vault after a combined score of 14.683. He had made the vault final three years ago in Tokyo, eventually placing fourth; he also won the gold medal in the apparatus in the 2021 World Championships.

However, Yulo failed to advance in the parallel bars -- an apparatus where he won silver in the 2021 World Championships and gold in the 2022 Asian Championships. He scored a 14.533 after his routine, which had a difficulty of 6.000 -- well below the 6.900 of China's Zou Jingyuan who is leading the way in the apparatus.
