POC-PSC Media Pool/File"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Filipina tennis player Alex Eala at the 19th Asian Games in China. <em>POC-PSC Media Pool/File</em></span></span></span></div><p>Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala marked another milestone in her young career.</p><p>After her triumph in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) W100 Vitoria-Gasteiz&#x27;s singles and doubles competitions in Spain, Eala jumped 12 places <span id="isPasted" style="line-height:107%">—</span> from 155th to 143rd <span id="isPasted" style="line-height:107%">—</span> in the latest Women&#x27;s Tennis Association world rankings.</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/2024/7/21/tennis-alex-eala-bags-vitoria-gasteiz-singles-and-doubles-crown-2040"><strong>READ: Tennis: Alex Eala bags Vitoria-Gasteiz singles and doubles crown</strong></a></div><p>Eala, at the young age of 19, won her fifth singles title after defeating Andorran standout Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva in the Women&#x27;s Finals of the tourney.</p><p>Alongside France&#x27;s Estelle Cascino, they defeated Latvia&#x27;s Diana Marcinkevica and Bulgaria&#x27;s Lia Karatantcheva in the Women&#x27;s Finals of their division for her third doubles title.</p><p>Eala has also reset her doubles ranking <span id="isPasted" style="line-height:107%">—</span> now at No. 208, coming from rank 245.</p><p>&quot;This win means the world to me, it even made me ugly cry.I am so proud because this represents the culmination of so much hard work,&quot; Eala previously said in an<a class="fr-green" href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C9ss5_fABLR/?img_index=1"><strong> Instagram post </strong></a>after winning in the Spanish tilt.</p><p>&quot;Securing my biggest titles yet in both singles and doubles is a fairytale finish, and I’m overwhelmed with emotion.
