MANILA -- It will be an all-UAAP finals in the 2024 ANTA Asiabasket International Championship, after Adamson University and National University dismissed their respective opponents on Monday at the Enderun Colleges.

The Soaring Falcons remain unbeaten in the tournament after a hard-fought 74-73 overtime win against the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde Blazers, while the Bulldogs pulled off an 85-79 triumph against fellow UAAP squad Far Eastern University.

With both teams toting perfect records, Adamson and NU will battle for the championship on Tuesday evening, still at the same venue.

The Soaring Falcons built a 66-61 lead early in the fourth quarter against the Blazers thanks to three-pointers from Matt Erolon, Emman Anabo, and Joshua Yerro. But they could not capitalize on St. Benilde's errors, and the Blazers unloaded a 7-0 run to force a 68-all deadlock and force overtime.

Adamson opened the extra period by scoring seven unanswered points for a 74-68 cushion, but Justine Sanchez refused to let St. Benilde go down easily, knocking down crucial shots to bring his team within one point, 74-73.

Anabo muffed a pair of charities in the final four seconds to leave the door open to St. Benilde, but Ian Torres' attempt at a game-winning floater was off the mark.

Cedrick Manzano paced the Soaring Falcons with 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals while Erolon and Jhon Calisay chipped in 12 and 10 markers apiece.

Handout/AsiabasketIn the other semis pairing, FEU leaned on rookie Veejay Pre to get within one point, 73-72, in the final quarter. NU responded through Reinhard Jumamoy, who knocked down back-to-back triples before Omar John also made two consecutive baskets for an 83-79 advantage.

A reverse layup by Steve Nash Enriquez iced the game for National U.

John shone with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds while Enriquez logged 17 markers, three boards, five assists, and two steals. NU spoiled Pre's best scoring output after the rookie sensation poured in 28 points together with nine rebounds, three assists, and one block.
