MANILA – We might see Dwight Ramos playing for a PBA club in the future.

Ramos, who has recently re-signed with his Japan B.League team Levanga Hokkaido, said that he is not closing doors for a possible stint in the Philippine professional league.

"I think so, eventually. I don’t know when, but hopefully," Ramos answered when asked whether he sees himself playing in the PBA in an intimate press conference organized by Lawson Philippines and Levanga on Friday at One Ayala Mall.

Dave Ildefonso and RJ Abarrientos, who both played overseas in the past couple of years, recently threw their names in the PBA Rookie Draft to return to the country.

And Ramos, now 25, could eventually be one of them in the near future.

He is also well aware of the roadblocks Filipino imports experience while playing in a different territory which could also be reasons why he could choose to play in the PBA.

"I think it’s hard playing overseas. It’s not your home country, you don’t feel as comfortable, and you’re by yourself for like almost the whole year," Ramos said.

"So when you do it over the years, you kind of feel like you’re missing out on a lot of things. You’re missing your family, so sure that’s probably what those guys felt and they just wanted to come home and play in the Philippines," he went on.

Last season, Ramos averaged 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 43 appearances for Levanga right before suffering an orbital fracture.

For the Gilas Pilipinas star, those who opted to go back here in the Philippines will still "gonna do great."

"They’re all gonna do great here because it’s their home country and they played here for so long."
