MANILA – From one libero to another.

Creamline libero Denden Lazaro-Revilla expressed willingness to teach and learn alongside Aleiah Torres, a defensive specialist and the team's 12th overall pick — also their lone selection — at the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft.

In her stint as a Badger at the Brock University in Canada, Torres was the team's starting libero for four seasons.

"I won't be alone in mentoring her. Siyempre nandiyan 'yung coaches and I'm with Kyla [Atienza], who's more senior sa 'kin in the team, so sabay kaming matututo since I'm still new in the team din naman. But whatever I can teach her, I'm willing to share naman," Lazaro-Revilla told ABS-CBN News during the official launch of Salomon Philippines' first concept store on Saturday at Edsa Shangri-La in Mandaluyong City.

But while she got listed recently as libero and outside spiker according to PVL's website, Torres' role for the Cool Smashers is still not yet in stone and it depends on the coaching staff, said Lazaro-Revilla.

"I think that depends on the coaches kung ano 'yung mapagdedesisyunan nila [about Aleiah's role], but I think Aleiah is ready for anything," Lazaro-Revilla said.

"'Yun 'yung maganda sa kaniya, she's willing to learn, and kung anong role ang ibibigay sa kaniya ng coaches, willing niyang gampanan 'yon," she went on.

Moreover, the former Ateneo Blue Eagle was just happy to be playing with Torres in Creamline this Reinforced Conference and hailed praises for the Canada-raised young gun.

"I'm just really happy that we're able to acquire Aleiah. She's a good talent, she has great attitude, great character and we look forward to growing together and learning together in the same team."

Meanwhile, in a previous interview at the PVL Draft, Torres said she would embrace the pressure of being at the Creamline nest.

"There's definitely a lot of pressure but like my coach back home in Canada said, pressure is privilege so hopefully, I just get to hopefully enjoy this opportunity and deal with whatever comes my way," said Torres.
