MANILA -- It is the end of the road for the Aegis aspirations of TNC Predator.

The Pinoy squad will not advance to the main event of The International 2024 after falling to Aurora, 0-2, in the Southeast Asia closed qualifiers on Sunday.

TNC entered the tourney via the open qualifiers and cruised through the lower bracket--also eliminating SEA powerhouse Blacklist Rivalry in the process.

But their TI dreams were shattered by the 23savage-led squad, who made quick work of Carlo "Kuku" Palad and company in Game 2 to clinch the coveted spot.

Thai player 23savage posted a 9-1-9 kill-death-assist performance on his Gyrocopter to lead by example.

This leaves Eljohn "Akashi" Andales as the lone Filipino representative for the Dota 2 world championships.

Akashi and Talon Esports earlier secured the first SEA spot after beating Aurora, 2-0, in the upper bracket finals.
