The respective teams of Thirdy and Kiefer Ravena, Kai Sotto, and Matthew Wright absorbed defeats in their recent games in the 2023-24 regular season of the Japan B.League.

Thirdy and San-En Neo Phoenix faltered against the Sunrockers Shibuya, 66-63, during their faceoff at the Aoyama Gakuin Memorial Hall.

Ravena had one of his lowest outputs this season and only posted four points, and one each of rebound, block, and assist.

Fortunately, San-En still sits at No.1 in the Central Division at 44-12.

Kiefer and the Shiga Lakes also tallied a loss after they were defeated by the Koshigaya Alphas, 82-65, at the Koshigaya City Gymnasium.

The older Ravena sibling had eight points, four assists, and one board, but much like Thirdy’s team, Shiga remained at No.1 in their bracket with a 44-16 record in B2’s Western Division.

On the other hand, Sotto and the Yokohama B-Corsairs are now No.6 in the Central Division.

This, after Kai and his team endured a 75-65 loss against the Fighting Eagles Nagoya wherein the 7-foot-3 Filipino only produced four markers, five boards, a steal, and a block in 23:53 minutes of gameplay.

Yokohama fell to 22-34 in the division standings.

Wright and Kyoto Hannaryz also dealt with the same fate as they were dominated by the Saga Ballooners, 73-52.

He had an eight-point, eight-rebound game against Saga while also delivering three assists, but Kyoto now stands at 16-40 which is good for No.8 in the Western Division.

Only RJ Abbarientos ended up with a victory as the Shinshu Brave Warriors defeated the Toyama Grouses in a close encounter, 74-73, but the former Gilas Pilipinas guard was a DNP (Did Not Play) in Shinshu’s ninth win in 56 games.

They are No.7 in the Central Division.
