MANILA – Wish not granted for birthday celebrant Carly Hernandez.

Professional volleyball player Carly Hernandez of Galeries Tower Highrisers was among the Blooms who failed to secure tickets for BINI's "BINIverse" concert at the New Frontier Theater on June 28.

Although coincidentally, Hernandez had a game today, April 2, when sales of tickets for the much-awaited concert opened.

"Paano ako kukuha? Hindi pa ako nakakakuha kasi wala pa 'kong time," Hernandez told ABS-CBN News on Tuesday.

(How could I get tickets? I still wasn't able to get because I didn't have time.)

Her team also absorbed a 25-13, 25-19, 25-17 loss from Choco Mucho in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

Enthusiastically, Hernandez revealed her eagerness to watch the nation's girl group perform.

"Pero gusto ko manood, actually gusto ko talaga," she added. "Fan talaga ako, nakikinig talaga ako ng music nila."

(But I really wanted to watch them, I actually want it. I'm really a fan, and I listen to their music.)

Hernandez also expressed her desire to watch BINI in a post on X (formerly Twitter) more than a week ago.

Upon learning that tickets were already sold out, the volleyball player said she would still try to secure one as an avid follower of BINI.

HERNANDEZ'S PLANS IN LIFE

The former FEU Tamaraw, who turned a year older on Tuesday, revealed that she wants to invest in entrepreneurship as the outside hitter acknowledged that "volleyball isn't forever."

"Ang isang goal ko lang talaga is maging successful sa career and sa life, of course kasi alam naman natin 'yung volleyball, it's not forever," said Hernandez.

(My goal is to be successful in my career and life, of course we know volleyball, it's not forever.)

"So dapat, hindi lang focus sa volleyball, so dapat meron akong ibang plano. 'Yun 'yung, like goal ko, lagi kong mina-manifest and pinagpe-pray na maging eager ako na maabot ko like magkaroon pa ng maraming plano," she said further. "Para mas ma-challenge ako to work."

(So, my focus should not just be volleyball. I should have other plans. That's my goal like I am always manifesting and praying that I should be more eager to reach and have more plans.)

Asked about a potential business, Hernandez said she wants a car wash business.

"Siyempre, unang-una 'yung nasa utak ko is business talaga... ngayon gusto ko, nagpaplano akong magpatayo ng car wash. Kasi na-realize ko, ang hirap magpunta sa mga car wash ngayon. Talaga naman, hindi ako nakakasingit," the volleyball player quipped. "So gusto ko, meron na 'kong sarili."

(First in my mind is a business. Right now, I'm planning to start a car wash business because I realized that it's so hard to go to car wash establishments now. I can't even get into queue. So I want one for myself.)
