MANILA – Ced Domingo's multiple transfers—from Creamline to Nakhon Ratchasima VC in Thailand, and now Akari—left her feeling "overwhelmed."

The former Premier Volleyball League (PVL) champion bared to reporters what she is experiencing as she debuted for the Akari Chargers on Saturday against the Cignal HD Spikers.

"Honestly, at some point, nakaka-overwhelm din talaga kasi 'yun nga, sobrang daming changes and transitions pero at the end of the day, ganun talaga 'yung buhay," Domingo said. "Pinag-aaralan ko na lang na kung paano ko siya iha-handle and kung paano yung magiging approach ko everyday."

But it wasn't all bad for Domingo, who said that her maturity and composure, inside and outside the court, improved after her volleyball stint in Thailand.

She also won a title with the Nakhon Ratchasima VC.

"Well, I’ve said this before na din na one thing that I’ve really learned coming home from Thailand is yung maturity ko inside the game and as an individual, 'yung composure din kasi sa Thailand," she said.

"Sinuwerte lang ako. Ano, sobrang saya. Sabi ko nga sa post ko na parang ano siya sakin, ‘who could have thought’ moment siya for me kasi coming do'n, no expectations din eh, Domingo said further.

The multi-awarded middle blocker said she only had one full training with the Chargers—and before that, she had a warm welcome from the team.

"Super welcoming. Nung pagdating ko dito, straight from the airport kasi dumating ako (Feb) 20 ng 1:00 a.m., training kami ng 12. Sobrang 'yung walang feeling na ‘hala, bagong team’ kasi nasa Thailand pa lang ako, nagme-message na 'yung iba sakin. Medyo gumaan na 'yung loob ko and then hindi na rin naman bago 'yung iba kasi yung iba naging teammates ko na from college and sa Paymaya si ate Grethc (Soltones)," said Domingo.

However, the debuting Domingo and the rest of the Chargers had to absorb a 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-18 loss from the HD Spikers at the Araneta Coliseum.
