Team Secret will once again miss the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Masters in Madrid after falling short in the VCT Pacific kick-off play-ins held in Seoul, South Korea.

Team Secret drew the first map against Korea's Gen.G but ultimately faltered in Lotus and Icebox. Team Secret, led by flex player Adrian "Invy" Reyes, managed to tie the series at Icebox on defense after a blowout loss to Gen.G on the attacking half. Invy picked up an ace on the sentinel character, as the Adobo Gang clawed their way back into the series.

At match point in icebox, Team Secret squandered momentum after suffering early pickoffs in rounds 23 and 24, bringing the game down to overtime as a result.

Team Secret squeezed in one round win in overtime but Gen.G was quick to adapt, getting the next three rounds to close the series out.

The Pinoy team bucked off the devastating loss with an emphatic 2-0 win against Zeta Division, the squad which shut the door on their world championship dreams last year.

Team Secret completely dissected the Japanese squad with a 2-0 win, but fate ultimately went out of their hands as ZETA suffered the same fate against Gen.G, who are going to the next round as a result.

Coming off a first-place finish in the Predator League this January, the rebuilding Team Secret squad had momentum on their side heading into the VCT Pacific kick-off

Valorant Masters in Madrid will be held from March 14 to 24 at the Madrid Arena in Spain.

Team Secret will have another go at a Masters slot, this time for the Shanghai, China edition, when VCT Pacific Stage 1 starts on April.
