MANILA -- The road has come to an end for Filipino-Indonesian squad Xipto Esports after Brazil's MIBR eliminated them in the lower bracket semifinals of the 2024 Valorant Game Changers Championship in Berlin, Germany, 2-1.

Brazilian squads seem to be the Kryptonite for the ex-Team SMG, as the squad previously fell to the eventual runner-up Team Liquid Brazil in also the lower bracket semis of the 2023 Game Changers Championship in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

At the start of the series, MIBR showed their mastery in their map pick Bind, limiting Xipto to only one round, ending the half at 11-1.

Xipto showed life in the second half by taking the pistol, anti-eco, and bonus rounds, but eventually MIBR put a stop to the streak and took the remaining rounds to get the first series point at 13-4.

In Xipto's map pick, Split, the APAC squad gets their revenge by dominating MIBR and tying up the series at 1-1, with a 13-6 score line.

Alexy "Alexy" Francisco pulled through for Xipto, creating highlights like the Operator flick on an airbone Nicolas "srN" Niederauer.

In the decider map, Xipto could not answer back to the overpowering of MIBR, ending the first half at 8-4 with an ace in between from srN.

By the second half, Xipto only managed to take one point, a last-ditch effort to keep the series alive, and then eventually conceded the rest of the map and series to MIBR.

The results are similar to the 2023 Championship, with MIBR moving on to face EMEA's G2 Gozen in the lower bracket finals in place of Team Liquid Brazil and the eventual champions, Shopify Rebellion waiting in the grand finals.
