SIBOL Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team was dethroned by Malaysia in the IESF World Esports Championship 2024 following its 0-2 loss in the Grand Finals on Friday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Our Malaysian neighbors proved to be better for now, clinching the IESF title and earlier this year, the Mid-Season Cup 2024 at Falcons AP.Bren's expense.

Malaysia won the biggest share of the prize pool, worth $70,000, while the Philippines still received a whopping $40,000 after finishing runner-up.

En route to the championship series, the Philippines defeated Argentina 2-0 and host country Saudi Arabia 2-0.

Fellow Southeast Asian country Indonesia bagged third place after defeating Saudi in the third-place match with another clean 2-0.
