MANILA, Philippines – The best teams of MPL PH Season 14 are eager to retain the M World Championship crown with the Philippines.

Pinoy squads Fnatic ONIC Philippines and Aurora Gaming expressed their desire to rule the M6 World Championship during the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Philippines' AP.Bren, which was last year's victor of the tournament, failed to advance to this year's iteration of the world championship after a botched bid at MPL Philippines Season 14.

"Atin 'to, atin ang taon na 'to," Fnatic ONIC PH's Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez and Aurora's Edward Jay "Edward" Dapadap declared.

The country already has four M-series titles in total.

"What I can say for certain is that with the people sitting here, the competitors that we have, I'm pretty sure that us, Filipinos, will do everything we can. We'll do our best to compete and make sure that we make our country proud," said Fnatic Onic PH coach Tony "Ynot" Senedrin.

"We’re ready. We doubled all our efforts in the preparation," Aurora Gaming coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani shared.

MOONTON Games Regional Public Relations Manager Keith Niño Medrano also bared how esports players are preparing for the games, asserting that it is somewhat the same with the traditional athlete.

"Sa totoo lang, kung paano naghahanda 'yung mga atleta natin sa iba't ibang palaro o sports, ganu'n din kung pa'no mag-prepare 'yung mga esports athletes natin. May sari-sarili silang bootcamp, rules, training, dates kung kailan sila nag-i-scrim with other teams. Parte ng preparation ng teams [ay tune-ups]," said Medrano.

The M6 World Championship, which has a prize pool of $1,000,000, will take place from November 21 to December 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"There are 16 international teams competing and 14 of them are looking at us," said Medrano.
