The 24-year-old Bomogao dominated Japanese striker Fuu in their 100-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Friday Fights 86 on November 8, where she took her first win inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In her unanimous decision win, Bomogao showed off her arsenal and fulfilled her pre-fight promise that she will not be the typical Muay Thai striker. The Filipina utilized her footwork and speed and unleashed a variety of kicks against her Japanese opponent.

"I'm happy that I was able to show new tricks, tricks that aren't usually seen in Muay Thai. I was throwing hook kicks, I was throwing back kicks," said Bomogao, who was among the several Filipino fighters in action last weekend in Thailand.

While she leaves the full assessment of her performance to her coaches, Bomogao is happy that she was able to execute her game plan, despite coming in with plenty of hype -- and pressure.

"Personally, I think it was a good performance. I think I was able to execute my game plan, control her with my teeps, use my boxing, and move around. But the overall assessment would be really up to my coaches, because they're the ones who are really watching," she said.

Still, the Filipina knows that there is room for improvement. In particular, she is not satisfied with her defense against Fuu and believes she could have done a better job with her offense.

"Then more straight combinations, not just one-two. I have to string more [together]. Maybe I have to put together strikes in one go."
Aside from Bomogao, also triumphant last weekend was Filipino-American fighter Jackie Buntan, who pulled off an upset of Anissa "C18" Meksen to win the inaugural ONE Women's Strawweight Kickboxing World Title at ONE 169.
