MANILA (UPDATED) --  Lyceum of the Philippines University player JM Bravo is set to be discharged from a hospital following his collision with Arellano University's Renzo Abiera during their NCAA Season 100 game on Saturday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

The collision happened during the dying seconds of the match with Arellano leading, 90-86, as the two were fighting for loose ball.

Bravo was stretchered out of the court and rushed to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center, where he underwent a CT scan.

"Wala naman nakita, negative naman 'yung CT-scan. Meron siyang konting dizziness, masakit 'yung ulo at panga because that's where he got it," said Hercules Callanta, NCAA Season 100 management committee chair from Lyceum.
Callanta said the 6-foot-2 Pirate will be discharged and is just waiting for instructions.

"In fact he's being discharged... mag-aantay na lang ng discharge instructions, what to watch out for," he said.

Callanta added that he might miss games depending on professional assessment by doctors.

Earlier, teammate John Barba was the first one to respond and explained why he tried to shake Bravo's head, to the surprise of many.

"Siyempre kanina talaga, makita mo 'yung kapatid mo na gano'n, talagang magpa-panic ka, eh. Tsaka first time ko siyang makitang gano'n, tumitirik 'yung mata," he said.

"Ako, nag-panic ako, talagang ginawa ko lahat para magising siya or marinig niya 'ko. Pero ang daming nagsasabi, alam ko naman na mali 'yung ginawa ko kanina. Pero 'pag nando'n na tayo sa sitwasyon na 'yon, 'di mo na maiisip 'yon, eh. Kasi gusto mo lang tulungan 'yung brother mo and concerned ka."

It was a double-whammy for the Pirates as they absorbed a loss, 86-91.
