Adrian Flores</figcaption></figure></div>TARLAC CITY—Bianca Pagdanganan fought back in the last four holes to complete a come-from-behind victory over Thailand’s Kan Bunnabodee to win the gold medal in women’s individual play in Southeast Asian Games golf Friday.Pagdanganan, who led after the first two rounds at Luisita, stared at a one-stroke deficit with four holes left before closing with a 71 and a 209 for the title.She was three shots better than Bunnabodee, who struggled in the last three holes. The Thai came through with an even par 72 and 212 total for silver while teammate Pimnipa Panthong brought home the bronze with 71-213.Lois Kaye Go (72-215) was tied for fourth with Asia’s No. 1 amateur, Atthaya Thitikul (71-215) while Abby Arevalo (71-223) wound up at 10th.On the men’s side, Carl Corpuz sizzled with a 68 in the final round for a 54-hole total of 211 and emerged as the best placed Filipino in the men’s competition where he was tied for sixth. Kwang Aik James Leow of Singapore won the gold after a 67 and 203.Sean Ramos (74-214) was No. 10, Aidric Chan (73-215) was tied at 11th and Luis Castro (71-219) was tied at 17th.The National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP), the sport&#x27;s national governing body, lauded Pagdanganan&#x27;s efforts.“We knew Bianca would be able to catch up in the closing holes as she’s always proven to do when she’s behind. We look forward to equally exciting battles during the last two days for the team match play competitions.
