SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—Mariya Takahashi won the country's third gold medal in Southeast Asian Games judo at Laus Group Events Center here on Friday.

Takahashi, a Filipino raised in Japan like many members of the national judo team, swept all of her 3 fights in the under 70 kilogram division to secure the victory.

Shin Matsumura beat Jian Che of Singapore in the men’s over 100 kg to get the bronze, as Ryoko Salinas outgrappled Tahir Norrizatu Mohamad of Malaysia in the women’s over 78 kg.
