MANILA -- Not only does Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen want to wrest the lightweight title from Eduard Folayang, he also wants to make history by becoming the first two-division titlist in ONE Championship.

Aside from challenging “The Landslide” for the ONE lightweight title, the Vietnamese-Australian already owns the ONE featherweight crown.

“I want to make history in ONE Championship, it's very rare that these opportunities come. So when it's time to take the opportunities, I just jump on it,” Nguyen said during Tuesday’s ONE Championship presscon.

The superfight will be the main event of ONE: Legends of the World, which will be held at Mall of Asia Arena on November 10.

The fight is scheduled for five rounds, although Nguyen thinks it won’t reach the final bell.

“Just put it this way: the fight won't go the distance. It's either him finishing me or me finishing him. That's how it's gonna be,” he said.

Nguyen said he admires Folayang and considers the Igorot fighter an inspiration. However, that will have to change come fight night.

“I did message Eduard, we did speak about (the fight). We're gonna come into this fight as true martial artists, we put the friendship aside and it's strictly business.”

Since he won’t be reducing weight for this fight, Nguyen said he’s enjoying training without the effort of staying away from food.

“I've been eating everything, I've been trying to keep the weight on,” he said.

“I'm floating around probably 71 kilos. The weight limit will be 77, so if I'm underweight I just wear my belt while on the scales or whatever.”
