Golden State point guard Stephen Curry formally received the NBA Most Valuable Player trophy ahead of Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinals series against Portland on Wednesday at the Oracle Arena (Thursday in Manila).

Curry made history once more as he became the first player to be unanimously voted as league MVP.

"This is an unbelievable experience, something I'll never forget," said Curry. "Thank you very much, let's keep going."

It was Curry's second straight MVP trophy. He led the NBA in points and steals in the regular season, made a record 402 three-pointers, and led the Warriors to a 73-9 win-loss record – the best regular season mark in league history.

Curry and the Warriors are trying to finish their semi-finals series against the Blazers. Golden State leads the best-of-seven series 3-1.
