Throughout her almost two decades in the local entertainment scene, Julia Montes has absolutely enthralled us with her impeccable and exceptional portrayals, including her current heart-pounding, action-packed performance as Mara in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Who inspires her to pull-off these challenging drama stints that depict tough, powerful women? Well, they are actually two strong women in her life -- one who gave birth to her and the other nurtured her into becoming who she is right now – her deaf-mute mom Gemma Hautea and her dutiful Lola Floresita “Flory” Hautea.

Since her mother is a person with disabilities, it has been the Julia’s Mami Flory who took care of her ever since she was a kid and tirelessly accompanied her in every audition, shoot, taping, and other media events. Thus, she has nothing but gratitude and appreciation for her, and vowed that she would never ever change in spite of all her achievements during their guesting in Magandang Buhay in 2017.

“Siyempre ang promise ko kay lola, kahit na napalitan na po ‘yong pangalan ko sa Julia Montes ngayon sa TV, ako pa rin ‘yong forever Baby Mara mo na inaalagaan mo no’ng bata,” she paused as she began to get emotional and jested that she inherited it from her, then continued, “di magbabago ‘yon and ‘yong pagmamahal ko lalo pang sumosobra.”

In one of her Mother’s Day post on Instagram in 2018, she wrote, “Silang dalawa ang nagturo sakin maging matapang ,makatao , at kung ano ako ngaun ... marami man kameng mga pinagdaanan pero laking pasasalamat ko sa Diyos na sila ang aking Lola at Mama ... salamat sa pagmamahal at habang ako'y nabubuhay aalagaan ko po kayo .... mahal na mahal ko kayo Mami and Mama. (sic)”

Julia also expressed her love for her Mama Gemma in another post for her birthday, saying, “we may have a different relationship as a mother and daughter pero masasabi kong im very lucky na ikaw ang MAMA ko ... tinuruan mo ko kung paano maging matapang , maging makatao , hindi mapanghusga at higit sa lahat kung paano mag mahal ng totoo ...I will forever be here for you and i will always be your little Baby girl ... (sic).”

Despite her hectic schedule, she still makes sure to spend quality time with them by taking them on simple dates and escapades in and out of the country and throwing parties for them on their special days. Check out some of their lovely snaps in this gallery!
