Severe tropical storm Bebinca is beating a path towards the country and will enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Friday evening, weather bureau PAGASA said.

As of 3 a.m., the center of severe tropical storm Bebinca was located 1,975 km east of Central Luzon. Packing 95 kph winds and 115 kph gusts, Bebinca’s trough is currently affecting the eastern sections of Luzon and the Visayas.

Bebinca is bringing cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate this Thursday.

Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will also experience similar weather due to the southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile, Bebinca’s trough will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Bicol Region.

The rest of MIMAROPA and CALABARZON will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

Pagasa also warned Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience localized thunderstorms.
