(UPDATE) The Regional Trial Court Branch 15 in Davao City issued on Wednesday a supplemental and clarificatory order emphasizing that it did not cancel or nullify the processes related to warrants of arrest on Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and other accused.

“Our laws and jurisprudence require that the manner in which a warrant of arrest is enforced should be necessary and reasonable.

Any act beyond its usual prescription must be with judicial imprimatur before it is carried out. Otherwise, the rights sought to be protected by the TO will be put to naught,” the order said.

The Office of the Clerk of Court of the Regional Trial Court XI is directed to immediately serve the Order to any senior PNP XI commanding officers present within the premises of Kingdom of Jesus Christ and Jose Maria College compound and at their regional office.

The KOJC has earlier obtained the temporary protection order from a Davao Court but still it did not stop the PNP in conducting search operations as it only orders the removal of blockades and barricades, which the PNP complied.

On Thursday, Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos gave an update on the situation in Davao, where a warrant of arrest is being served against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. Abalos detailed the hardships the police faced inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound.

"May laser pa na ginagamit yan o yan may laser na lalabas diyan, green lumalabas, tapos may fire extinguisher pa. So dito makikita nyo ang hirap na dinaanan ng mga pulis," Abalos narrated.

He also said the place was surrounded by live wires and barbed wires.

He shared videos of their search inside the compound. On day two, Abalos said the police observed maximum tolerance despite attempts by KOJC members to engage them.

"Eto mga sugatan nating pulis, isa sa mukha, isa sa kamay, marami po, marami po recorded po lahat ito," he explained.

Meanwhile, he said the police would continue their search for Apollo Quiboloy, the fugitive leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), and his aides within the religious group's compound in Davao City.

Abalos clarified this after the Davao City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 15 issued a temporary protection order (TPO) in favor of KOJC, directing the PNP to remove all barricades, barriers, or blockades that were preventing the group's members from accessing the compound.

"Ang nakalagay rito ang issued TPO did not cancel or nullify the warrant of arrest. So sinabi mismo ng judge, iba ito tuloy pa rin ang warrant of arrest," he said.

Abalos added that they would file a petition for certiorari at the Court of Appeals in Cagayan De Oro tomorrow.
