<div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Suspended Silang, Cavite Mayor Kevin Anarna expressed his surprise Friday regarding the Office of the Ombudsman’s preventive suspension issued against him.</p><p>“Nakakapagtaka dahil lang sa AOM (audit observation memorandum) eh nagkaroon kami ng preventive suspension...  Lahat po ng munisipyo merong AOM... Baka gamitin ng mga kalaban sa politika ng mga local chief executive kung base lang sa AOM,” Anarna said.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/4/25/silang-mayor-kapatid-sinuspinde-ng-ombudsman-1634?https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/4/25/silang-mayor-kapatid-sinuspinde-ng-ombudsman-1634?">• Silang mayor, kapatid sinuspinde ng Ombudsman</a></div><p>The preventive suspension order was a result of the 65-point charge filed against him by Silang Vice Mayor Edward Carranza.</p><p>“Base dun sa news clip na napanood ko, nakita ko sobrang nipis lang nung ipinile (file) na print sa akin for 65 (counts). So, siguro makikita naman dun na halos walang laman yun. Siguro sa patas na labanan mahihirapan talaga sya kaya siguro nagre-resort sya sa mga harassment at pag-file ng case,” he said.</p><p>The charges against Anarna were based on COA&#x27;s <span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">audit observation memorandum</span>, which the municipality answered last February.</p><p>As for the complaint filed against him by Edgardo Bayan, Anarna said that the former served as head of security of former mayor Obel Poblete.</p><p>“Nung umupo po si Vice Mayor (Carranza), halos lahat po ng mga bagong mukha doon sa munisipyo ay mga tao ni Poblete rin...
