The devastation caused by severe tropical storm Kristine in the Bicol region has left 29 people dead, 9 injured, and 4 missing, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The fatalities include drownings in Camarines Norte (1), Camarines Sur (3), Sorsogon (1), and Naga City (12).

Landslides caused four deaths each in Albay and Catanduanes.

Other incidents include one death in Catanduanes from an accident, one fatality in Masbate due to a fallen tree, an electrocution in Camarines Norte, and a cardiac arrest in Naga City.

In addition to the confirmed deaths, nine people sustained injuries, and search efforts are underway for 4 missing individuals.

This number is still expected to rise as search and rescue efforts in the different parts of the region continues.

In its 5 p.m. advisory, PAGASA said Kristine has exited the Philippine area of responsibility, but it may loop over the West Philippine Sea starting Sunday.

Tens of thousands remained displaced after fleeing floods driven by a torrential downpour that dumped two months' worth of rainfall in just two days in some areas.

More than 3.3 million Filipinos have been affected by the onslaught of Kristine all over the country, with thousands still reeling from the effects of the storm, the Department of Social Welfare and Development said Friday.
