Signal Number 1 is currently hoisted in several areas in Luzon, including Bicol region; in Visayas and parts of Mindanao.

Kristine is forecast to intensify into a tropical storm in the next 12 hours. It may reach severe tropical storm category on Wednesday, and typhoon category on Friday.
