Eventologist Tim Yap has made it a tradition for October 30 to be a talked-about day every year with his 'Shake, Rattle & Ball' Halloween party. This year, he was inspired by icons, freaks, and legends and reimagined them in an awe-inspiring circus setting. His Halloween spectacle was dubbed 'CIRQUE,' and what a show the attendees put on with their well-thought-out and elaborate costumes.

Tim Yap's 'Shake, Rattle, & Ball 2024 Presents CIRQUE' happened at Space in One Ayala, Makati City. The venue was transformed with a large-scale carousel centerpiece and floor-to-ceiling LEDs. Tim's Yaparazzi Events team described Cirque as 'a carnival of creativity, featuring a dazzling fusion of artistic expression, Filipino culture, and the spirit of Halloween.'

Tim, of course, was on point with the theme, dressed up as Kokey, the iconic extraterrestrial being from the 1997 Filipino sci-fi film of the same name. His costume even came complete with a UFO base!

This year's star-studded guest list featured Donny Pangilinan as Frankenstein, Sarah Lahbati as Bella Baxter, Evan Tan as Hatter, and many more. Among the winners were Tita Baby, Janeena Chan, Chloe San Jose, and Carlos Yulo, who took home special awards for their jaw-dropping outfits!

For the event's official invite, Tim tapped Filipino artist Saiz to interpret the Halloween theme for the year, and the signature childlike presence in his work was a seamless fit. The artwork also set the tone and the mood of the stage.

The event kicked off with a cocktail reception and a grand costume parade; there were Cirque-themed performances and live entertainment, as well as art installations and LED showcases.

For Tim's fellow creative souls, the memo for the costume theme was to interpret the idea of legends, freaks, and icons in their own way. The guests arrived dressed to the nines, showcasing their versions of legendary figures and characters spanning different eras, periods, and universes. We saw iterations of Pennywise, Joker, Harley Quinn, Cleopatra, Marilyn Monroe, Elphaba from Wicked, Beetlejuice, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Barbie & Ken. There were also magicians, princesses, goddesses, angels, and, of course, circus characters.
