In the series, Seo Ye-ji takes on the role of Lee Rae-el, the daughter of a chaebol family, who will be at the center of a ₩2 trillion divorce lawsuit that shocks the entire nation. Witnessing the murder of her father when she was a child, Lee Rae-el has made it her mission to avenge her father's death. Also starring in the series are Lee Sang-yeob, Park Byung-eun, and Yoo Sun. Eve is scheduled to be released this coming May 25.

At the time the scandal surfaced, the actress, who gained popularity for the 2020 K-drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay (IOTNBO), was in the middle of promoting her mystery/thriller movie Recalled. As a result, Seo Ye-ji skipped the movie promotions, and the following month, she didn't attend the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony where she was nominated as Best Actress (TV) for IOTNBO and given the TikTok Popularity Award.

I would like to sincerely apologize for making many people uncomfortable due to my shortcomings. Once again, I sincerely bow my head and apologize for the fact that I have disappointed you greatly. All of this stemmed from my immaturity, and I will work hard to behave more carefully in the future and show you a more mature version of myself.'
