The first official trailer of the upcoming dark comedy film A Very Good Girl is finally released. Directed by Petersen Vargas, the movie stars BAFTA and Golden Globes nominee Dolly De Leon and Seoul International Drama Awards’ Outstanding Asian Star Kathryn Bernardo.

In the trailer, the tandem showed no inhibitions in portraying their characters Molly (Dolly) and Philo (Kathryn), who got together to foster a mother-daughter relationship. Later in the clip, though, what started as a smooth partnership seems to have turned into a resentful face-off.

Apart from stellar headliners Dolly De Leon and Kathryn Bernardo, the cast includes Jake Ejercito, Angel Aquino, Chie Filomeno, Gillian Vicencio, Kaori Oinuma, Donna Cariaga, Ana Abad Santos, Althea Ruedas, Nathania Guerrero, and Nour Hooshmand.

Written by Marionne Dominique Mancol with the creative direction of Carmi Raymundo, A Very Good Girl is a genre-bending offering that marks Star Cinema’s 30th anniversary. The kick-off film will be exclusively released in theaters nationwide starting September 27, 2023.
