2 Good 2 Be True, the comeback serye of reel- and real-life couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, is continuously making local showbiz history after being the first Filipino series to air on Netflix before its local TV airing.

Just a few days after its premiere, the series also went straight to the number 1 spot on Top 10 TV Shows in Netflix Philippines.

This is KathNiel’s first reunion project in four years, after the two decided to work with other celebrities. Kathryn worked with Alden Richards in the blockbuster movie Hello, Love, Goodbye, and Daniel starred in the critically-acclaimed film Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether the Weather Is Fine) with seasoned actress Charo Santos-Concio and up-and-coming actress Rans Rifol.

Prior to 2 Good 2 Be True, KathNiel starred in the series La Luna Sangre.

“Sobrang happy lang. After ilang years, may bagong serye ulit. At itong comeback serye namin ni Kathryn, ang daming natutuwa. I’m just very happy na na-e-enjoy nila 'yung ginagawa naming show. Ang ang dami ding nagsasabi na sobrang good vibes sila. At 'yun din naman 'yung gusto namin ihatid talaga,” Daniel said as we caught up with him in the recently held Star Magic All-Star Games.

In this series, if you’re an avid fan of KathNiel, you can tell that they now have a different kind of maturity and growth. Daniel echoed the sentiment, saying, “Always namin sinasabi sa maturity with the characters. Maturity doesn’t mean sensuality, hindi 'yun eh. It’s [about the] perspective, kung paano n’ya rin atakihin ’yung bawat eksena, mas ganun. Si Kathryn ngayon, mas nag-iisip na.”

Kathryn and Daniel also just celebrated their 10th anniversary as a couple in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In her Instagram post, the actress wrote, “Looking back on our 10-year journey together, I find myself smiling with so much pride. Because we did it... We did it, love! True love exists. Someone like you still do exist.”
