It was an exciting experience for Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to have been given the opportunity to interview The Idea of You stars Nicholas Galitzine and Anne Hathaway.

As part of Prime’s promotional efforts, the online encounter focused on what Filipino audiences can anticipate from the said romantic-comedy.

“Really, really fun music, great concert scenes, unexpected love connections, legendary sandwiches, and feelings” Anne Hathaway replied when asked what the film is about. “I hope you feel so much when you watch this movie and hope you enjoy that.”

Based on American author Robinne Lee’s book, The Idea of You showcases the story of a rare romance between a 20-something band member, Hayes (Nicholas),and a single mom at 40, Solène (Anne).

“I think Robinne tapped into something very real and she captured something very real that’s not fair and is sort of shameful in its truth,” Anne carried on.

Nicholas Galitzine, meanwhile, told Catriona more of his character Hayes’s nature and his newfound love in Anne’s Solène. “It’s just about a young man wanting to be taken seriously—not wanting to be a joke.”

“Solène is this incredibly nourishing energy that validates him in a really profound way” Nicholas continued, cluing us in on the tandem’s relationship.

“When he finds Solène, it really nourishes him and [she] infuses him with this energy that I think he’d been missing a lot of his life.”
