With the Philippines only a few or four hours away from South Korea, many Korean celebrities have vacationed in the tropical country known for its beautiful beaches. Popular tourist spots in the Philippines include Boracay and Cebu.

And in a Metro Talks conversation with the members of K-Pop boy group Catch The Young, we’re delighted to know that three out of five members have visited the Philippines.

Jungmo visited the country on two separate occasions, once with his family and then with his friends. He recounted, “I’ve visited Cebu and Boracay. I have good memories. I also got on a yacht and went on a tour. I felt really happy and had no worries at that moment. The fresh air, clean water, and good food. I was able to make great memories with my family. I only have good memories of the Philippines.”

Namhyun has also visited Boracay with his family. He shared, “We stayed at an amazing hotel and had delicious food near Boracay beach. I remember watching the gorgeous sunset. It was the prettiest sunset I’ve ever seen in my life. There was a ship on the island that looked interesting. I remember that I was on that ship while watching that beautiful sunset. It was unforgettable.”

Junyong has been to the Philippines about five times, and his vacation in Boracay was also what stood out to him. “I made a friend [named] Donald from D'Mall,” he recalled. “He introduced me to the Red Crab restaurant and gave me a discount for a massage. So my friend and I were able to enjoy that trip.”

Catch The Young - SaniSani (bass, sub vocals)

Together with fellow Catch The Young members Sani and Kihoon, they hope to return to the Philippines, this time as a group performing for Filipino fans. Sani said, manifesting a world tour soon, “I believe we will, maybe, have a world tour in 2024. Therefore, I think our fans from abroad will be able to meet us in person. Please look forward to it.”
