MANILA- A Filipino migrant worker was found dead in his flat in Bahrain Thursday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

The 37-year-old Filipino who hails from Quezon was found hanging from a ceiling fan in Manama, according to the DFA.

The DFA extended its sympathies to the family of the migrant worker. The Philippine Embassy is in touch with authorities in Bahrain over the incident.

Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso Ver said the Philippine Embassy will arrange for the repatriation of the remains of the migrant worker following medico-legal procedures.
