All roads are pointing to the New Frontier Theater this October 27, Sky Hall Seaside Cebu this October 28, and SMX Convention Center Davao October 30 as Pinoy fan-favorite emo/pop-punk superstars MAYDAY PARADE are slated to return to our shores and bring the goods for a hungry legion of FIlipino music fans.

The American rock band (from Tallahassee, Florida specifically…) is comprised of vocalist/guitarist Derek Sanders, lead guitarist Alex Garcia, guitarist Brooks Betts, bassist Jeremy Lenzo and drummer Jake Bundrick. The band first made waves with their 2006 debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends, which sold over 50,000 copies without any label support, and from then on, were on a trajectory to the top, fueled by an organic connection to its fanbase and an unmatched live performance ethic, which fans all over the world witnessed via the group’s furious touring schedule.

Of course, it was the band’s powerful singles that resonated most with the rest of the world: songs like “Jamie All Over,” “Miserable at Best” and “When I Get Home You’re So Dead” (from 2007’s A Lesson in Romantics), “Terrible Things” (from 2011’s Valdosta), “Ghosts” (from 2013’s Monsters in the Closet) and “Stay The Same” and “Piece of Your Heart” from 2018’s Sunnyland, to name a few.

And it’s that powerful relatability and connection that has seen the band perform numerous times for Manila, Philippines, this being Mayday Parade’s sixth visit to the country – courtesy of PULP Live World .

This October 28th, 2023, Cebuanos are in for the ultimate treat as the pop-punk/emo giants are scheduled to perform all of their greatest hits at the Sky Hall Seaside Cebu – and it’s definitely one of the most-anticipated events that will take place this year, especially since it was none other than singer Derek Sanders who promised Cebuanos that they would return after their first successful show in 2019.

The alternative/emo icons last visited Cebu in 2019 (a show also produced by PULP LIVE WORLD) and made quite the impression as they put on an excellent show, fueled by some of their biggest anthems like “Jersey” and “Oh Well, Oh Well” to name a few. The evening was a spectacular one, filled with cheers and sing-alongs to the band’s extensive discography of infectious singles.

On October 30 at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City, Mayday Parade will one of the few – if not the ONLY – international artist in the recent decade to play dates in all three major cities.
