<p>The Filipino teenager who was caught in a deadly fire in a ski resort town in Switzerland is set to be transferred to Italy on Wednesday afternoon for further medical treatment.</p><p>Sixteen-year-old Kean Kaizer Talingdan will leave Zurich by helicopter between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. (CEST), according to his mother, Kristal Talingdan.</p><p>He will be taken to Ospedale Niguarda after receiving clearance from the medical team.</p><p>Kean has been confined at a hospital in Zurich after being injured in the deadly fire that broke out in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, during a New Year’s Eve celebration.</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/1/4/filipino-teen-reported-missing-after-switzerland-fire-found-in-zurich-hospital-0755"><strong>Filipino teen caught in Switzerland fire being treated in Zurich hospital </strong></a> </div><p>He will be transferred alongside a classmate who was also injured in the same incident. Both teenagers are expected to be brought to the burn center of Ospedale Niguarda, where nine other victims of the Le Constellation bar fire are currently being treated. </p><p>Due to the severity of his injuries, Kean’s identity was confirmed only after three days through DNA testing.</p><p>Kristal Talingdan expressed her gratitude to the Government of Italy, saying that authorities have taken care of all arrangements related to her son’s transfer and treatment.</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/1/3/16-taong-gulang-na-pinoy-nawawala-matapos-ang-sunog-sa-switzerland-1746"><strong>16-taong gulang na Pinoy nawawala matapos ang sunog sa Switzerland</strong></a></div><p>Despite being in serious condition, doctors in Zurich have approved the transfer of both patients to Milan for more specialized and intensive care. </p><p>Authorities continue to monitor Kean’s condition closely, while investigations remain ongoing into the cause of the fire that left dozens dead and injured in the Swiss resort town.</p><div>  </div>
