<p>At least four people were killed in Israel in a multi-wave Iranian missile attack Tuesday shortly before a staggered ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump was meant to enter force, emergency services and the army said.</p><p>Writing on X, the Magen David Adom rescue service said three people were pronounced dead at the scene of a strike in southern Beersheba while a fourth was added in an update to its figures.</p><p>Another two people were &quot;moderately injured&quot; while 20 were treated for minor injuries and anxiety, it said.</p><p>AFP footage from the scene showed rescue teams combing through the rubble and mangled slabs of concrete looking for survivors.</p><div><br/><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/axar5WiG27I?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>Twisted metal jutted out of the top of the multi-story block, which was partially collapsed down one side.</p><p>Sirens rang out across Israel for around two hours from dawn as Iran fired six waves of missiles according to statements released by Israel&#x27;s military.</p><p>At around 8:00 am (0500 GMT), the military said the public could leave areas near shelters.</p><p>The full extent of damage after 12 days of war is not known due to military censorship rules, but at least 50 impacts have been acknowledged nation-wide, and the official death toll stood at 24 before Tuesday&#x27;s attacks.</p><p>Israel&#x27;s sophisticated air defenses have intercepted more than 500 missiles fired at the country by Iran, along with around 1,000 drones, according to the military.</p><p>The ceasefire agreement, as outlined by Trump on social media in a surprise late-night post, would see the arch enemies stop firing in staggered phases.</p><p>According to Trump, Iran would unilaterally halt all operations beginning 0400 GMT Tuesday (12 noon in Manila), with Israel following suit 12 hours later.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2025/6/24/iran-signals-halt-to-strikes-if-israel-stops-1045">Iran signals halt to strikes if Israel stops</a></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
