Reseda, California — In a joyful display of Filipino faith and heritage, the St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Reseda hosted its first-ever Santacruzan procession on Saturday, May 3, drawing parishioners and local residents into a vibrant celebration of culture and spirituality.

The Santacruzan, a beloved Filipino religious tradition, commemorates the journey of Empress Helena in her search for the Holy Cross. The event was spearheaded by Reverend Father Mauricio Goloran and organized in partnership with Simon Paculan, President of the Our Lady of Antipolo Reseda Chapter.

The day began with a solemn procession that started at St. Catherine of Siena School and concluded with a special Mass at the church. Members of the Disciples of the Divine Trinity Group played an active role in the procession, enhancing the ceremony’s spiritual atmosphere and sense of community.

The Reynas wore stunning gowns designed by acclaimed Filipino American fashion designer Carl Andrada. The Hermano Mayor of the event was Hon. Ralph Jacob Viloria, Vice Consul of the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles.
