The Philippine Humanitarian Inter-Agency Contingent for the Myanmar Earthquake, composed of Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) operators from the Office of Civil Defense, the 505th Search and Rescue Group of the Philippine Air Force, the 525th Combat Engineer Battalion of the Philippine Army, the Special Rescue Unit (SRU) of the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and the composite Search and Rescue (SAR) teams from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), First Philippine Holdings/Energy Development Corporation (FPH-EDC), and Apex Mining, conducted a light search operation at the Jade Hotel and Entertainment Complex.

This operation followed a 7.7-magnitude earthquake that caused major structural damage in many buildings in Myanmar's capital city, Naypyidaw.

The area was selected based on the recommendation of local contacts, in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Embassy, following reports of trapped victims in the vicinity.

The composite Philippine USAR team utilized two units of Life Locators from the MMDA and SCORPE rescue cameras.

After four hours of detection and debris clearing, the team found no indicators of live victims in the area. However, two cadavers were discovered trapped under the rubble of the entertainment area, where the entire first floor of the six-story building had collapsed.

The humanitarian operations, implemented by the DENR/FPH-EDC and MMDA teams, were logistically supported by Ayala Foundation Inc., Gideon Rescue Boots, Raha Soliman Rotary Club, Defender Hard Cases, TaKT3CH, and Black Octopus.
