Emergency personnel in Vancouver rushed to help dozens of bloodied victims on Saturdary (April 26) after a truck rammed into a crowd at a street festival, killing 11 people and injuring dozens.

A man drove through a crowded pedestrian zone during a Filipino cultural festival on Saturday evening. Officials have arrested a suspect they said had a significant history of mental health issues, and said there was no evidence of terrorism in the attack that struck just before Monday's election to choose a prime minister.

The victims ranged in age from 5 to 65, officials said.

Reuters was able to independently verify the location of the video from the road layout, buildings' facades, sport's field and a sidewalk which matched file and satellite imagery. The date was verified by original file metadata, confirmed by source and Reuters reporting of the car attack on Saturday (April 26).
