An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude struck the interior of San Diego County in California on Monday (April 14), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake was at a depth of 13.4 km (8.33 miles), USGS said.
Shaking was felt in a large swath of San Diego County, as well as in Orange County and Los Angeles County to the north.
Reuters obtained San Diego web cam footage showing the effects of the quake. Reuters was able to confirm the location by mountains shape, road layout, harbor outline and trees which matched file and satellite imagery of the area. The date when the video was filmed was verified by date stamp seen on footage and official reports of the earthquake on Monday (April 14).
The San Diego County Sheriff's Office's substation in Julian, the mountain town in eastern San Diego County that was near the quake's epicenter, said it was unaware of any reports of damage or injuries.
There was damage at the Mountain Spirits Liquor Store, according to daytime manager, Dylan Carniero.
He told Reuters, "it was the two minutes I went to hit the restroom and whatnot and like instantaneously just the aggressive shaking and I started hearing all the popping of the bottles hitting the ground."
